Growing Students Mindsets through High-Quality Mathematical Tasks
How do you decide what tasks students will complete in your math class? How could this decision impact students mindsets? During this session, teachers will explore the characteristics of high-quality tasks and how to maintain the cognitive demand of these tasks throughout implementation in the classroom. Choosing the task is just the first step, teachers will explore how to implement tasks in a meaningful way that has an impact on students mindsets to learn. We will examine various resources that can be used in the classroom to encourage students growth mindsets through high-quality task implementation.
